Well let's tackle this head on, ok? Faylin is wearing a kilt, with a Scottish plaid (actually just a plaid I made up, if it is a real plaid, just coincidence), and I know you're going to say, but he's not Scottish and kilts are Scottish. And I say to you that kilts existed in Ireland but in solid colors, mostly. "Well, what about the plaid then? That's still Scottish."
The truth is, I don't know why I made it plaid, but I did, and I liked it, so now I will defend it.
What Faylin is wearing is the Belted Plaid or Great Kilt, the earliest kilt made in Scotland. Around the time this takes place, it will just have started being used, I think, which means that Ireland will not have had them yet and there would be no solid Ireland clan colors. And even if there were clan colors, Collamair would not use his own, and why would he use anyone else's for that matter? So, using some obscure pattern that Scotland has is more likely to occur because there just isn't the possibility to use any Irish one. So Nyah. And if this is the only thing I ever get flamed for I think I'd count myself lucky. (And it's not like I've been terribly historically accurate before now, is it?) |
He has girly shoes..*points and laughs at Faylin*

I don't buy Anne's bull shit about the kilt. Back in the day no one -wanted- to be Scottish. Except the Scotts, and that was just because they had no choice. But she knows how I feel already. XP |
